Meet the founder of Hunting University

As a man actively following my calling to teach others how to hunt, I started Hunting University to teach hunting to people that are new to this very natural, respectful and healthy way of acquiring nutrition from the wild.

My name is Marc Warnke. I have been hunting the world over 30 years and I’ve been a full-time hunting consultant over 10 years.

I was born and raised in Idaho so my strongest big-game species are elk and deer; however, I have hunted a variety of species with my bow almost everywhere in the world. I was raised hunting in the back country and packing in deep, so I love the adventure side of hunting and helping clients find adventure, for themselves, as they define it.

About the course

Our program is a three day course which will take you from a classroom educational setting to the field.  With  experienced guides and instructors, the hunter ,YOU, will learn how to hunt in a real life situation for a doe whitetail deer and a hog.  Once the animal is down, the instruction will then take you through the different techniques to process your animal. From field dressing to breaking down the animal for butchering, you will learn how to properly care for your quarry getting it ready for your table.  We will be soon releasing online courses that will cover all the same content as the physical course without the benefit of the hands on experience. The online courses can be viewed for the first time or revisited as a refresher after taking the HU course.
